Petit in-4°, midnight blue half-maroquin, cardboard plates in the same shade of maroquered cardboard, gold threads framing the plates, wide fleuron at the corners, smooth spine decorated, gilt edges (bound at J. Giard). ORIGINAL EDITION of this first part, the only one published. 40 plates (numbered from 1 to 40), lithographed by Victor ADAM, including three coloured and gummed plates (n° 1, 22 & 40). From the Merlin d'Estreux library in Beaugrenier, with ex-libris. Epidermis jaws; some scorched and scorched leaves. "There are copies with the coloured plates; they are very rare. The uncoloured copies are far from being common" (Thiébaud, 7). "Plates 19 and 20, indicated as not existing, exist. It is true that many copies are missing [...] Some extremely rare ones. copies are with the colour plates" (Mouchon, 1044). VERY BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE in a ROMANTIC BINDING of the ERA, WELL COMPLETE with its 40 PLATES, including three color schemes.
