Grand in-4°, beige morocco, dishes adorned with gold lace framing wide painted decorations inserted, back with nerves adorned with the same pattern, gold edges, countertops framed with the same morocco adorned with the same lace, lining and silver silk guards entirely covered with a repeated embroidered pattern, double guards, cover of parchment with gold embossed decoration, beige half-marquin shirt with ribs and small overlaps ornamented with the same decoration, case (Ad. Giraldon del. - Canape r. d. 1907). 40 colour compositions by Adolphe GIRALDON, including one on the first cover of the binding and one on the first title (bearing the same design). P. Virgilii Maronis Bucolica); coloured ornamentation framing each page. Edition of 301 copies, this one (No. 68), one of the 300 on arches. SINGLE EXAMPLE, ENRICHED of : - TWO ORIGINAL AQUARELLES, that of the first title, accompanied by in the foot margin of a shipment to Mr. Couderc of St-Chamant, and that of the first cover of the binding (accompanied by a sketch a double state of the model of the cover illustrated in colour, - the decomposition (in three stages) statements) of the colours of the ten Eglogues' header vignettes, - a copy of the subscription form illustrated in colour & - the preparatory design of the ornamental pattern of the binding. From the H. Couderc libraries of St-Chamant, with ex-libris and repeated initials embroidered on the back covers and endpapers, Cortlandt Bishop, Sickles and xxxx, with ex-libris. Slightly discharged. Copper rods framing the aqarelles of the dishes in deficit on the second one.
