Historical background: The jewel of this set given around 1850 is still of an early model (manufactured around 1820-1830), in particular by the reverse of the crown with bridges and the long ring between this crown and the cross. This jewel is of a model quite comparable to that of the Emperor Napoleon I, although it was given more than forty years earlier. The plaque is of a more contemporary manufacture of the shed (circa 1850).
