On October 13, 2023, Etude L'Huillier will be auctioning objects, historical memorabilia, paintings and furniture from an emblematic Occitan family in room 6 at Hôtel Drouot. Of particular interest are an ivory casket, Germany, first third of the 15th century, and an ivory Crucifixion from an early 14th-century Paris workshop. Next up is an object of royal provenance, with a rare aumônière bearing the coat of arms of Princess Elisabeth of France, and a lock of hair belonging to Princess Marie-Thérèse of France, Madame Royale, Duchesse d'Angoulême. Among the paintings on offer, a major Gustave Doré work, a view of the Pyrenees, explored by the artist early in his career and exhibited in Montpellier at the Exposition des Beaux-Arts in 1860. Provencal furniture, antique paintings, miniatures and house furnishings complete this sale.
