PARIS 1784 Ewer and its silver basin, engraved with coats of arms and surmounted by a county crown (posterior). The rectangular basin is moulded with rows of nets, ribbed and pushed back with leaves and flowers as a reminder on the top of the baluster-shaped ewer. It rests on a pedestal moulded with eggs and scrolls, the body, separated in two by a rush of fillets, is carved with two sizes of leaves. Inspired by nature, the top of the ewer is pushed back by reeds framing the pouring spout carved with large leaves. The lid, made of melted silver, bordered with eggs, is topped with a swan smoothing its feathers with its head turned backwards on a terrace carved with water leaves and reeds. The basin is engraved on the reverse side: "I I I" Master goldsmith: Jean-Pierre CHARPENAT, received in 1782 Weight: 1873 g - height: 30 cm Length of the pool: 33.8 cm - width: 23.5 cm Condition: repolished - On the edge of the pool there is no reminder of the egg decoration on the pedestal and the lid of the ewer.
