Important lot of 5 hats circa 1930-1940
1- CAROLINE REBOUX hat. Early 1940s.
It is made of black sisal and silk jersey. The shape is cap taking entirely the top and the back of the skull. The back is equipped with a pink and fuchsia jersey headband shaped in cross pleat at the nape of the neck. The front is embellished with a rectangular crest in sisal shaped in waves.
Some dirt on the jersey visible especially at the base of the neck at the label.
2- Winter hat in black felt probably CAROLINE REBOUX declawed. The form is toque with a raised edge and maintained by a metal wire. The shape covers the back of the skull and the top is embellished with a line of blue feathers. The front also has a purple veil and an elastic band.
The interior is bordered by a black grosgrain with a seam marking the front.
Head size at the level of the grosgrain: 51 cm
The veil has a hole on the front. Slight detachment of the feathers on the back. Odor of dust.
3- Brown felt winter hat probably CAROLINE REBOUX declawed. The shape is toque with a large bulge and rounded bottom. The model is decorated with a brown crepe net hanging on one side. The front is decorated with a naturalized bird with outstretched wings and small glass eyes. The interior is lined with brown grosgrain.
Head circumference at the level of the grosgrain: 30 cm.
Some jumps in the mesh of the net. The feathers are a little damaged and crumpled on the edges of the bird.
4- Hat ROSE DUCRET, 16 rue Vineuse Paris. It is cut in a black varnished sisal. The shape is toque made of yokes with sharp edges shaped between them with reliefs and days. The top of the hat is topped with a black feather aigrette with two metal rods covered with sisal and shaped into a curve on the front.
Nice condition.
5- Winter hat - Late 30's.
The model is made of brown felt. The shape is toque with a nice bias cut covering the whole back of the head. The top is shaped as a bulge with a pleated work. The front has two pointed leaves of green felt and varnished canvas surrounded by charming wool crochet flowers in purple, pink, yellow and parma.
The interior is lined with black cheesecloth with a grosgrain band on the edge.
Head circumference at the level of the grosgrain: 51 cm
Superficial detachment of the fabric from the leaves. The felt varies slightly in color due to dirt or discoloration.
