2 piece summer bodice set. Early 1900s. For document. The set is made of light blue silk damask with a diamond pattern. It is composed of a very fitted whalebone bodice with a hook and eye closure. The shape is sleeveless with a flounce on the shoulder and a wide boat neckline. The waist is entirely shaped in pleats and the neckline is embellished with a large shawl in chiffon and lace that folds down to the front. The lining is in blue cotton assorted. The bustier comes over a background forming the entire neckline and sleeves. The shape is short with a chiffon front and back decorated with flat pleats and lace in between. The collar is closed by hook with a bubbled decoration coming on the neck (Mis in the wrong direction on the photos). The sleeves are long and turned with a series of large flat pleats along the length. The armhole ends in tight points and lace ruffles. The set is mounted on a pink cotton base with a short pinched shape. The set comes with a fabric scrap and a shaped bow. Corsage: size flat: about 28 cm For document. Bodice: The silk is discolored in various places including the armpits and largely in the back. The model is dirty. Small holes and small tear at the waist. The ribs are oxidized. Bottom: One sleeve is torn at the seam with the muslin. Discoloration and foxing from storage. Several stains and small holes. Musty smell for the whole
