[LE POITTEVIN (Eugène)]. Charges et décharges diaboliques pa - Lot 20

[LE POITTEVIN (Eugène)]. Charges et décharges diaboliques par un Concitoyen. S.l.n.d. [circa 1835]. Album in-4° oblong, bradel, black half calf with corners (Lobstein-Laurenchet). A title (unillustrated and later) and twelve lithographed plates without captions (282 x 207 mm) attributed to LE POITTEVIN. Plates in the same format as those in the original edition published "À Bruxelles, Chez tous les Marchands [Paris, Guerrier, 1833/1834]", but very slightly different, with repeated titles and numbering recomposed. The illustrated title forming the first plate is missing. These differences lead us to believe that this could be a forgery. Slight foxing. Galitzin, 57 (for the first edition of 1833/1834).
