Our set of drawings was part of an album commissioned by a private art lover from Jean Cocteau. The album, entitled "Jean L'oiseleur, Ad Usum Delphini", originally comprised 27 erotic drawings executed around 1925/1926, with a portrait of the commissioner on the frontispiece. Jean Cocteau used to call himself "Jean l'Oiseleur" when he portrayed himself.
