HERMÈS Paris - Carré de soie - Chasse à vol - Henri de Linar - Lot 106
HERMÈS Paris - Carré de soie - Chasse à vol - Henri de Linarès - 1962 - Reissue 1986 or 1989 with ochre border. An ancestral art that reached its apogee in France under Louis XIII, falconry became an art of the nobility. The falcon is presented here with all its attributes in a version of grand pageantry. With its feathered hood, jets and bells, the eager bird prepares to leave its trainer's glove and swoop down on its prey. The square is titled "Chasse à vol" in the upper center and signed Hermès Paris at the bottom. The scarf is cut in silk twill with a hand hem. Dimensions: approx. 90 x 90 cm Some soiling, including a small black trace at the top. Hem a little flattened.
