LAJEUNESSE MARX - Circa 1900 - Black wool coat. Long bishop sleeves with turned effect and armhole with topstitched lapels forming two points. The neckline is round and two rows cover the shoulders. The shape is straight, with vertical box pleats on the front and back. Crossed button closure. The bottom is weighted with lead. Interior in ivory silk satin with a large pocket on the reverse of one panel. Label sewn on back: La jeunesse Marx & Cie 18 Rue du Calvaire Nantes. -Dimensions: Breadth (shoulder to shoulder): 37 cm Chest (armpit to armpit): 47 cm Sleeve length: 66 cm Height to middle of back: 71 cm Dusty fabric. 1 moth hole at back of neckline and a second hidden under collar at front. Satin lining fused at collar and armholes, with tear at one side seam. Minor surface soiling, including to one sleeve.
