HERMÈS Paris - Carré de soie - Les folies du ciel - Loïc Dubigeon - 1984 - Reissued in 1994 with red gradient burgundy border. Pilâtre de Rozier went down in history on November 21, 1783 as the first man to soar into the sky. Although the first of his kind, he stole the limelight from the real pioneers of the discipline: a duck, a rooster and a sheep who had flown 3 kilometers between Versailles and Vaucresson a month earlier, but who subsequently remained very discreet about their experience. The square is titled "les folies du ciel" in the decor at the top center and Hermès Paris in the rope around the perimeter. The scarf is cut from silk twill and hemmed by hand. Dimensions: approx. 90 x 90 cm Soiling on the center fold line and very few small stains.
