Iqbal GEOFFREY (1939-2021) Three works on paper addressed, with a handwritten letter, to the French Ambassador in Islamabad. Mixed media on paper. Signed and dated June 23, 1993 for the letter and some signed 92. 34.8 x 21.2 cm Iqbal Geoffrey (1939-2021) was a Pakistani-American modernist painter. Trained as a lawyer and artist, Geoffrey achieved great artistic success, notably through numerous solo exhibitions and the Huntington Hartford Fellowship. His works include intricately detailed gouaches, mixed media and ink drawings, many of which feature Sanskrit script and sans serif fonts, ornate mandala symbols and Arabic motifs.
