Pair of apron ducts, in blackened wood veneer inlaid in sheets in tin mesh frames. It features full aprons in blue-stained horn and pewter veneer, decorated with large foliated scrolls, or stylized shells. The lower part is dark copper with foliated scrolls. Ornamentation of chased and gilded bronzes, decorated with large acanthus leaf scrolls, the fringes of trimmings in natural. (wear and tear and accidents) Louis XIV style after a drawing by André-Charles BOULLE. Height : 130 cm - Width of the tray : 43 x 32 cm Provenance : Castle of Mouchy-le-Châtel This pair of sheaths appear reproduced in an old photograph of the great salons of the castle of Mouchy (see reproduction).
