Attributed to the crystal and enamel factory of Saint Joseph du Bourget Enamelled cast iron orange tree case with lambrequin and lion's head decoration in the spirit of Rouen earthenware. (Wear and tear to the enamel, chips) Napoleon III period Height: 66 cm - Diameter: 61 cm Provenance : Château de La Borde in Sologne. The Manufacture de cristallerie-émaillerie de Bercy was founded around 1827 by Jean-Alexandre Pâris, jeweler of the King installed on the Place du Palais Royal. Some forty years later, his son, Charles-Emile Pâris, relocated production to Le Bourget and founded the Manufacture Saint-Joseph du Bourget, which retained the technical processes developed in his father's time and considerably developed production, in particular by offering the famous enamelled vase-gardeners in imitation of the blue and white earthenware of Rouen, which met with immense success in the second half of the 19th century.
