PARIS 1766 - 1767 A silver covered ecuelle. The body is plain, the lid moulded with oves and scrolls topped by two doucines engraved with flowery garlands framing shells, topped by a riveted frétel depicting a pomegranate on its terrace of leaves. It is engraved with a figure of interlaced letters in a leafy shield (later). The handles are made of cast silver and openwork and represent an oval medallion on an entablature, the poly-lobed rim representing a fall of laurels. Master silversmith : Antoine PLOT, received in 1729 Marks : the ears stamped with the charge, the master goldsmith and the common house Weight : 1075 g - outside diameter : 17,9 cm - with handles : 32,4 cm We join to it a plate of bowl with contours with the same figure in the same shield (probably matched at the beginning of the 19th century). Moulded with oves and scrolls, it is engraved on the marli in rectangular cartouches of shells of garlands of flowers and fruits.
